It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Late Elder Pius Ogaba Oche (JP), a respected patriarch and beloved father to James Ogaba Oche, the esteemed Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government in Benue State. Elder Pius Ogaba Oche departed from this world on 2nd December 2023 leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom and community service.
Born on 2nd October 1940, Elder Pius Ogaba Oche (Otse O’ Offu) lived a remarkable life that spanned 83 years. His journey on this earth was marked by unwavering commitment to family, community and the betterment of society. As an upstanding member of the community, he earned the title of “JP” for his dedication to justice and peace, embodying the principles of fairness and compassion throughout his life.
Late Elder Pius Ogaba Oche’s influence extended beyond the confines of his family, reaching into the heart of Ado Local Government and beyond. His son, James Ogaba Oche, follow in his father’s footsteps as the Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government, a show to the impact of Elder Pius’s values on the next generation.
The burial ceremony, a celebration of a life well-lived, took place today 9th of February 2024 at Apa Agila in Ado Local Government area of Benue State. Family, friends and community members gathered to pay their respects, share memories and commemorate the indelible mark Elder Pius Ogaba Oche left on their lives.
Elder Pius Ogaba Oche will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom and his dedication to fostering unity within the community. His legacy lives on through the principles he instilled in his family and the positive influence he had on the lives of those around him.
As we bid farewell to Late Elder Pius Ogaba Oche, let us celebrate the impact of his life and the love he shared with all. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
