We are glad to applaud the Nigerian Army for this year’s NADCEL with the theme: “Sound Administration as a Panacea for Effective Military Operations.”
We are aware of the Chief of Army Staff’s call to Nigerians to address problems peacefully rather than resorting to armed conflicts.
We equally commend Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), for his life-saving message to Nigerians.
The time to appreciate the Nigerian Army for embracing social media as a primary medium for communication is now.
Our vision is to highlight the benefits of social media to the population of Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Our sole purpose is to promote the maximization of social media and so far, we have educated over ten thousand (10,000) participants on the positive impact of social media.
Over the years, we have organized several summits with the following themes:
- Promoting the positive side of social media – 2020
- The positive use of social media in an era of increased youth unemployment – 2021
- The role of social media in ensuring credible 2023 General Elections in Nigeria – 2022
- This year, for the 4th edition, the theme is “Social Media: A Tool for Youth Development.” This edition aims to address how young people can use social media platforms and the opportunities they offer for personal development.
This year’s summit promises to be entertaining and exciting. As part of the 2023 activities, there will be an unveiling in the middle of the year, followed by the summit at the end of the year, and a thanksgiving service.
Most youths today have access to various media options, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., in addition to daily television consumption. This trend has become the norm, and not owning a device is seen as odd. This summit will discuss how social media can be utilized by youths to develop themselves and society, leading to positive social and behavioral changes that contribute to the overall growth of the nation.
Additionally, there will be the Chief Sebastine Hon, SAN, FCIArb., DSSRS essay competition and awards presentation to deserving individuals and organizations.
