Steven Godo Atôô, professionally known by his stage name Mr. Godo, is a highly talented Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter. He is also the founder of G-Prof Limited.
Mr. Godo was born on June 6, in Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. His parents are John Ahaa Godo (father) and Mgô U Atoô, also known as Mrs. Ahaa (mother). His father is from Mzaav, while his mother hails from Turan, both located in Benue State.
Although Mr. Godo was born in Benue State, his family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, when he was 17 years old. He has three siblings: one brother and two sisters. Mr. Godo completed his primary and secondary education in Alumuku Mbagba, Ushongo Local Government Area, Benue State. He attended JSS1 to JSS3 at Model College, Achia Town, Kwande L.G.A., continued SS1 and SS2 at Anglican Secondary School, Gboko South, Benue State, and returned to Model College for SS3 in 2016.
Mr. Godo’s passion for music began during his secondary school years. On January 6, 2016, he recorded his first song. His second song was recorded at Glorious Beat Studio, with the accompanying music video directed by Raphael Akanle and produced by R-Med Production in Lagos State.
In addition to his music career, Mr. Godo worked at Lakowe Lakes. During this period, he took a hiatus from the music industry to pursue knowledge in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and to manage offline businesses that supported his music career. By 2024, Mr. Godo had become a professional HVAC technician and established himself as a leader in the field.
In 2024, Mr. Godo made a strong comeback to the Nigerian music scene with the release of his EP titled “Achia Boy” produced under Merric Music by Rayne Beat.
