A House Built with Six Eggs – Fr. Solomon Ukeyima.
Fr. Solomon Ukeyima who is a prominent figure in Benue state recently built and furnished a house for an old woman with the name Mama Agatha Kwasena.
Fr Solomon Ukeyima is the Priest in Charge of St. Augustine’s Catholic Parish Demekpe. In the year 2020, Mama Agatha Kwasena visited Fr. Solomon Ukeyima after he was robbed and valuable items were stolen from him. Mama presented six eggs to Fr Solomon Ukeyima. This really touched Fr Solomon Ukeyima and when he discovered that Mama was living in an unhealthy environment, he built and furnished a house for mama. Fr Solomon Ukeyima has proven that in a world filled with evil, love for humanity still exits.
Fr. Solomon Ukeyima is the pioneer of “Kyegh Sha Shwa” cultural festival. Literally, “Kyegh Sha Shwa” means “Chicken with Sesame”. It is however, a choice delicacy of the Tiv of Central Nigeria; a soup made of chicken and thick sesame (Benniseed) sauce. The Tiv people best savour this delicacy with pounded yam. It is indeed a very popular dish.
Fr. Solomon Ukeyima is also a supporter of Benue music. He has invested so much in the promotion of the Benue music industry.
