Maduabuchi Kingsley Okpor, popularly known as MKO teams up with Dj Neptune to create a masterpiece “Calling”. This track blends Afrobeat musicality, with pop culture elements and a well-executed lyrical dexterity.
MKO met DJ Neptune five years ago in Dubai, when the duo was booked for a show along with Davido, Ayo Jay and many other sensational artists. Dj Neptune and MKO stayed in touch, which has led to them working together on this track.
Not only is “Calling” a work of art, it is also a project that goes a long way to define the true meaning of brotherhood and friendship. MKO and Dj Neptune stayed in touch for over 5 years and only recently did the stars align for the duo to finally work together on a track. Dj Neptune did not only accept MKO’s invitation to be on the track but he went as far as rapping on “Calling” which is something he has never done before – talk about going the extra mile for a friend.
Award wining producer Sammyoung produced “Calling” and Adasa Cookey shot the video in Lagos, Nigeria.
