Daniel John Utaver polularly known as ‘Danny J‘ was born to the family of Utaver Justin and Mrs Utaver Tabitha on the 18th of September. He is the only child of his parents. They all hail from ibi local Government area of Taraba state. Danny J Attended Christ the king primary School in Ibi and then moved to Barewa College Zaria Kaduna state for his secondary school were he stayed with his uncle a Brig Gen in the barracks throughout his stay in Kaduna. But because of the rise of boko haram militants in the north in 2012 he moved back to end his Secondary school education at Bishop Patrick Sheehan Memorial college Wukari in taraba state were he graduated in 2015.

Danny J developed his love for music and instruments specifically jazz at a very tender age of 5. His love for music and instruments made him attended concert’s and events so as to watch and learn more. He recorded his first track which he was featured in 2015 and in 2017 he recorded his first hit track ‘Praise Jesus’ which got him alot of recognition and airplays by radio stations, interviews and massive promotion online by different bloggers. Danny J launched his first musical album in 2018 Praise Jesus which more than 1000 copies where sold with more than 2000 online downloads.
